Elizabeth Law

My running career started as a result of my love for team sports. I had been involved with sports throughout my whole life, but my true calling came from the field hockey field. There, running was more about conditioning and punishment than technique and enjoyment. In order to keep in shape for the fall season, I joined the track and field team at Pocono Mountain High School as a freshman. For four years I competed consistently in the 800 m and 1600 m runs. My success on the track was a result of the hard work put in on the field.

In college I went on to become a member of the field hockey team at Saint Francis University, in Loretto, Pennsylvania. With this program I dealt with year-round work-outs and learned countless bits of information about running, conditioning, nutrition, and about being a leader for younger athletes.

Since graduation in 2007, I left my home state of Pennsylvania and have become a part of the Meridian community. Still rolling from last season, I look forward to being a part of the success of this Cross Country program in the future.
