Fundraising Projects and XC Costs Explained

I am asking that everyone who is on the team raise $50 to go into the XC fund.  This money will pay for our local meets travel expenses and some of the Silverwood trip for the entire team.  This will also pay for the team t-shirt.  NO ONE will be excluded because they cannot afford trips or literally could not raise the money.  However, I ask that effort is made so that we can continue to have a meet schedule that allows every athlete to participate in a great variety of events.  This year we have an incredible line up of meets all around Idaho.  Much of the money will pay for school bus costs to our meets in Cascade, McCall and entrance fees for meets.  I would like to continue to be able to travel with the athletes as it makes Cross Country even more fun, but I know times are tough so please contact Rusty with any and all concerns about fundraising.

Concessions:  Working concessions will be a first come first served opportunity for athletes to raise a bit of their total expenses for the season.  We will need at least six athletes or their parents to work these games.  We have two dates and they are both football games, so the money should be decent.  they are:

September 10th:  Freshman Football

September 24th:  JV Football

Pre-Sale Car Wash: October 3rd @ Qdoba on Eagle and Franklin

Everyone will be asked to sell two car washes at a price of 5 dollars a piece.  This will ensure that this fundraiser is not a waste of time.  We will also get drive by clients and make a percentage of the sales at Qdoba while we are there.  All athletes will make a percentage of the overall sales of all drive up customers and the Qdoba donation.  I am hoping this will cover about 15 dollars per athlete of the $50 that they need to raise.

Jog-a-Thon: September 8th

There will be a sheet provided, and we will do the Jog-a-thon @ Tully Park where the distance can be measured.  Prizes for most laps and most donations.  The goal for this event is $35 per athlete.

Trips:  Each Trip will cost the traveling athlete $40.  This will cover travel in a charter bus, lodging in a school wrestling room, and two meals (dinner the night before and breakfast the morning of the meet).  Our two trips are Silverwood (50 athletes will be able to attend) and the Oxford Classic in Bend Oregon (top 12 boys and girls only).  If students have raised more than 60 dollars in the above fundraising activities then this money can be taken out of the expenses to go to these meets.  For both of these meets we will be missing Friday of school.  Help your children be prepared for this.

*Note about Silverwood- We receive discounted tickets into the park after the race for $18 a piece.  This money needs to be provided by the attending athletes.*
